While Kyle was at work I tried to dress the house up a little bit. Kyle just wanted to stay in for the night so I wanted to make sure he felt like it was his day!
Kyle got a couple presents... A new mug from my Mum and Dad (because his wifey broke his last coffee mug).
A T-shirt from Richard and David that was his favorite soft material! And totally his style!
He got a beer mug with butterscotch discs and marshmallows in it to look like it was full of beer from me!
And some Oakley Gascans to replace the ones that he lost on the river last year! I think they look good on him! :) Look at him trying to be all cool!
Later on after we'd calmed down from all the gift opening, I started to make dinner. I wanted to make something that I knew he would love and I found this incredible recipe posted on My Kitchen Snippets.
I saw the picture and I knew I had to make it! Check it out!
So I held my breath as I made it, just hoping it would turn out to be a great birthday dinner for my baby!
I am so proud to say that it was definitely the best meal I've ever made!
Here's my pictures... not pro, but I care less about what it looks like and more about how it tastes!
It was sesame chicken deliciousness, and most of all Kyle loved it! In the center are some potstickers I made, not the best- but they weren't inedible...
Last of all, I attempted to make Kyle a cake. I had never baked a cake before, and honestly you guys- it was a box cake. But I think it turned out pretty well for my first one! :) Lots of trial and error... haha
And of course Kyle and I enjoyed eating it up!
I think Kyle had a good birthday! I thank God for everyday I get to share my life with him!

I love seeing your blog. I'm proud of the life you guys live, never stop enjoying each other because nothing else matters......Jeff Holder
