After 6 months of Curacao, Kyle and I were ready to visit the states. We had been planning our vacation for months since we found out we had a good reason- Garrett's Wedding!!!!
The plan was to take 3 weeks and just spend some time in California.
On the way California we stopped at TGIF as we always do to eat and to get Kyle his favorite beer that we can't get in Curacao: blue moon! :)
We really got to do way more than I could have ever expected and still got to spend some time with the people we love. First we spent half a week just hanging out with Kyle's family and picking out our puppy! We got a 9 week old german shepherd and we named him Kunau. Kyle wanted that name because he met a guy with that last name when he was younger and always thought it would be a good dog name, and it is. So first... puppy pictures. Oh, and bear with me, because I just got an iphone and honestly I'm a little obsessed with instagram, so half of my photos and normal and half aren't. haha.
When we got him his ears were down and only fell up when he laid down as you can see:

Then one at a time the ears went up:
One day- up they went!
Also, JC and Kunau loved to play together!
We got to spend time with Jeff and Michele at a steak house. They told the restaurant about his birthday and they put a cowboy hat on him and sang to him! :)
Then we all went up to Balch (that might be spelled wrong?) park and spent the day there, in the evening Kyle's family went home and we stayed the night in the tent trailer. Man, that thing is so much more comfortable than an actual tent!
When we got back to the house we had a lot of fun just hanging out with the fam.

We got to spend time with Jeff and Michele at a steak house, and they put that hat on Kyle for his birthday and sang to him. It was a great time!
Then my family came into town and spent some time with us. It was so wonderful seeing them, I had really missed them. Only got one picture, but that could be because we spent a lot of time playing the logo game. :)

After my family left we were ready to go to six flags! Kyle's parents were nice enough to watch Kunau while we drove to Magic Mountain and then on to the wedding. We rode a lot of roller coasters and had fun! There wasn't really anyone there so we could go on whatever we wanted.

We had so much fun and afterwards we got to go and relax at the hot tub over at the hilton.
The next day we were driving from Valencia to Victorville for the wedding. On the way we stopped to visit Kyle's Grandma Diane.
Afterwards, we went to the rehearsal for Garrett's wedding and the rehearsal dinner. Kyle was a groomsman. I met a whole bunch of really great people including Garrett's sweet wife. That night we played Smash Bros. on the Wii and just talked. Then the next morning was the wedding. It was a beautiful wedding and I felt lucky I got to attend.

I love the bottom two pictures because you can see the little girls watching. so adorable!
Then we went back to Kyle's family's house. After doing more research about taking the dog back to Curacao and taking the dog to the veterinarian I realized I needed to get a USDA stamp on Kunau's health cert. Sooo we didn't have time to send it in because we wouldn't get it back in time... so Micaela agreed to drive with me to Sacramento to get the stamp! It was so nice of her! She got a little hyper... so here's that picture hahaha

I cherished the time we had with them and we really did have a wonderful time!
